MCC are excited to announce our first ever Online Photographic Exhibition which launches on 1st July 2021 :-)
Outdoor shoot in Morecambe – meet on the Stone Jetty at 7:30 pm. Can you spot anything to photograph for the next alphabet challenge: M, N or O? Or for next season’s themes: Close-up, Patterns, 7 Deadly Sins, Song Titles or Rust? Thinking of joining us, feel free to come along, all welcome 🙂
This week we have the next of our summer meetings. This time it’s a fun competition via zoom, carrying on our alphabetical theme that we started during last summer. This week are the letters j, k and l. One image for each letter, feel free to be as creative as you like both in images and titles 😂
There’s still time to send up to four images – email to the usual competitions address: firstname.lastname@example.org by the end of tomorrow, Wed 9th June). Images should be no wider than 1600 pixels and no taller than 1200 pixels.
Hope to see you on Thursday 😊
Tonight (Thursday 27th May) we have our first summer outdoor meeting ar Sunderland Point. The weather forecast is looking ok 🤞
Meet by the toilet block at the far end of the causeway at 7:30 pm. The causeway should be clear until about 11:30 pm – so more than enough time for us.
We’ll make our way from the car park to Old Hall. At that point we may separate, with those who have stout footwear and are happy to walk round the point on the rocky shoreline continuing, while others return to The Lane. We’ll probably all meet up at Sambo’s Grave and the Horizon Line Chamber.
It would be great if we knew who was intending to come along – se if you are coming, please email email@example.com (preferably before 6pm.
Please can anyone who won trophies last year bring them back tonight, so they can be engraved ready for their new owners 😀 🏆Thanks, see you all tonight 😀
Thursday 27th May
Our summer programme kicks off with an outdoor evening, meeting at the car parking area by the toilets at Sunderland Point at 7:30. There will probably be two options:
- walking around the point to the Horizon Line Chamber and back down the Lane – for this you will need stout footware (the path ends at the Hall and the route continues on rocky beach
- walking to the Hall, then back to walk along the Lane, perhaps meeting others near the “Horizon Line Chamber” and Sambo’s Grave
The weather forecast looks promising (but that can change) – Confirmation on Wednesday or Thursday. Also, it would be good if you could let us know if you are planning to come along.
Low tide next Thursday is at about 7:30 pm. – so we have 4 hours to get back across the causeway – I don’t think any of us will want to stay that long 🙂
As always new and old members welcome 😊 Hope to see you there.
Don’t forget to submit your local images for this weeks fun competition. The winner gets their image on the club website, social media and promotional materials for the next 12 months 😁 Images to the usual competition address by the end of tomorrow (wed) please. Max of 4 entries per member. These will be judged via zoom on Thursday 20th May. Look out for the link in your emails 😊
