Light painting workshop

There is going to be a light painting workshop organised for members of our club and Lancaster club in Williamson’s park on the evening of Wednesday 23rd October. If anyone is interested in this then please check the link attached. Please send us a message as soon as possible if you are interested as places will go pretty quickly! There is a cost per photographer of £25 each and the workshop will last 2 hours, 7pm-9pm.

Maximum 20 people.

Astrophotography shoot

Unfortunately the planned astrophotography evening for this Thursday the 26th September will have to be cancelled as It currently looks like it will be raining Thursday with 80% cloud cover.
Looking forward to seeing everyone the following Thursday for the start of the season. Feel free to bring your camera and/or an image from your favourite photographer as we will be having informal group discussions around these if we get time 🙂 This will hopefully help everyone to find other members who use similar kit and have similar photographic interests.

New Season

With the start of our 2019/2020 season approaching, we would like to reach out to anybody who would be interested in joining a friendly photography club, which strives to support members when gaining photographic knowledge and skills.

Our members are a mixture of ages and abilities, and we try to arrange a balance of photographic opportunities and competitions to suit all. We are also very proud to be able to offer a mentor system for anyone who would like any one-to-one support when developing their photography.

The Club’s main season runs from the first Thursday in October (3rd) until May, and we meet weekly at 7.30pm in the Vestry of the Church of the Ascension in Torrisholme. There is a subscription charge for the main season, which is currently £40 for the year but if you are interested then you can come on a few taster sessions for FREE, so that you can decide if you would like to join.

If you do decide to attend our first meeting (3rd October), then we are asking all members to bring along their camera and have a quick think about who their favourite photographer is. The evening will be an informal evening, so that we can catch up with any members after the summer. This will be a great opportunity to get to know our members and learn some more about our club.

We are also currently coming to the end of our summer season, which is a mixture of outings and workshops, and these are all FREE. Our next planned meeting is Thursday the 26th Sept, and we are hoping to do an astrophotography evening (weather permitting). If you are interested then you are more than welcome to come along to this too.

Details of all our sessions and more information about the club are available on our website at or you can find us on Facebook and Twitter.📷
