Annual presentation dinner

We had a lovely evening at our annual dinner last week. Nice food as always by the clarendon, good company and a variety of award winners – well done to all ๐Ÿ˜Š And as always, a stunning sunset and a room full of photographers without cameras ๐Ÿ˜‚ Here are a few of the pictures from the night.

Presentation dinner

This Thursday is our annual presentation dinner at the clarendon. We are meeting at 7pm to sit down for 7.30pm. There will be a raffle with a twist this year, so bring a bit of change if you want to join in. Also, please can people bring any prints they have, that they are happy for us to use in our upcoming exhibitions. Joe will hopefully be bringing samples of fleeces that we can order with the club logo on too. I will also be doing a collection for Bryan for any one who wishes to contribute. And finally, if anyone has macro pictures from the exotic animal shoot please send them to Ellen as soon as you can. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Thursday ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿด๐Ÿท

Long exposure and converting images to monochrome workshop

This Thursday is our next summer workshop on long exposure and converting images to monochrome. Bring cameras and laptops if you have them. We are meeting at 7.30pm in the upstairs function room of the George pub in torrisholme. Hope to see you there ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ“ธ

If you have any images from the macro shoot, please send them to Ellen. Thanks

Exposure Blending Workshop

This Thursday is the second of our summer program events and is a workshop on exposure bracketing and merging those images. Essentially we will be talking about the various methods of creating a blended image both using the camera and in various software programmes. These types of images are often termed hdr, however people often think of the classic ‘over processed’ images when this term is used, but this session will consider how exposure blending can create a well exposed or sharper image in a much more subtle way.
Again, we will be in the upstairs function room of the George pub in torrisholme at 7.30pm. Bring your camera and a laptop if you have one. We would like to get an idea of numbers, so it would be great if you could let me know if you are coming by dropping me an email
