An excellent evening despite the technical issues, was lovely to see some new faces joining the club and joining the virtual activities 😊 Also fantastic support from all the members with a good number entering images for this fun competition ☺️ The winners were: A- Abstract by Steve Bird; B-Butterfly by Ellen Bell and C-Castle in the Moonlight by Chris Hellier. Congratulations everyone 😁🏆

Just a reminder that images are due for the ABC competition by tomorrow to the usual email address. Results evening will be the 29th – the links to the theme letters can be very tenuous – and if you can’t
manage one image for each letter – then send more that one for one of
the others. But most of all – it is a fun competition, so don’t take it
too seriously – but do try to enter to keep some of the club momentum
going while we can’t meet in person. The zoim link to join in on the evening has been emailed out. 😊
As we are still unable to meet, the committee decided to arrange another online meeting using Zoom. The most popular option from the recent survey was a fun competition on a theme. The theme will be “A, B, C.”
Please send in one image associated with each letter (three images in
total) – preferably taken recently. For example, A could be Apple, Asparagus, Aniseed balls, Above your head – there are some more examples of subjects beginning with A and B from Saltburn PS
at: https://youtu.be/MgBKyijKhlY Entries should be sent to the usual email address
(firstname.lastname@example.org) by the end of Sunday 26th July. The
competition will be on Wednesday 29th July 8 PM for 8:15 PM start.
Members will vote on their favourite image from each letter. Happy snapping 😊
Hope that you are all staying safe and well. Over the last month or so, we have experimented with online meetings using a number of different platforms.
It would be great if you would complete this short survey, to see how you feel about online meetings:
Following a successful evening sharing and discussing images this week, we have decided to do it again on Tuesday as we didn’t get through all the wonderful images submitted. It would be great to have a few more members involved, so if you have a couple of images you could share, or if anyone who joined last wed has any more pictures they want to discuss, please send them to the usual competition email address and join us from 8pm on 16th Jun. Joining details to follow via email 😊 Hope to see you all then 😀
Don’t forget to send a few images to share with the club tomorrow evening (Wed) They don’t need to be competition standard, just a few images you would like to talk about 😊 Send to the usual competition email address by lunchtime on Wed, and for instructions on how to join the meeting, please check your emails (if not got anything, please check your junk box). Hope to see you all tomorrow from 7.45pm for an 8.15pm start 😁

After the success of the previous virtual meeting, we have decided run a night for sharing some of your lockdown images (or any previously unseen). Tell us a little bit about each of them. If this goes well, we will look at arranging a virtual speaker 😊 send upto 4 images to email@example.com and a link to join will follow in the next few days 😊 If anyone is struggling with joining please contact one of the committee. Keep safe and hope to see you Wednesday 😀
**UPDATE ** The test meeting worked well, but with limited attendees, would be lovely to see a few more for the vote 😊 We are now holding this on Friday at 8pm, please check your email for more information ** This week we are going to try our first virtual meeting. There will be a trial run on Tuesday at 7.30pm. If you haven’t used Zoom before, you can go to the website and join a ‘test meeting’ to check your microphone and video is set-up. On Thursday we’re planning to show entries and vote on them, for the promotional image that will be used on website/Facebook/syllabus next year 😊 Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions 👍
